So by November things between Stewart and I started to get pretty serious. I’m happier than I can ever remember being with someone. There isn’t a lot of pressure – we just have a lot of fun together and want to be with each other all the time. It’s really fantastically refreshing.
We had a great lunch where we gave my mom her birthday present – a necklace with three diamonds representing her three children, aw! Then we headed over to the Key Arena for one of my favorite activities – ice hockey! Stewart met us at the game and met my family for the first time. It was a semi awkward “meet the parents” moment but I suppose it could have been worse. And after the game we stopped at a nearby restaurant for drinks, so my parents got to talk to Stewart for a while and I think they really liked him – not that I was worried they wouldn’t!
Also this month I attended for about the fifth or sixth time the annual Warren Miller ski movie at the Seattle Center. It really got me excited about wanting to learn to snowboard this year, though as usual the movie featured a vast majority of skiers and not snowboarders. Lame.
Some exciting news – as an early birthday present, Stewart gave me a brand new Canon digital camera complete with digital photo printer! I was super excited because I haven’t had a camera of my own in almost a year, since mine got broken when I went to Mexico with my family for Christmas last year. So finally, I can use my own photos to tell stories about what’s going on in my life! Here are some examples I was able to capture on film.
My friend Carolina celebrated her 28th birthday party at an authentic Japanese sushi restaurant called Makeki in the International District.
